A sometimes-appearing character, Dekisugi is Nobita's main rival for Shizuka. Handsome, athletic and smart, he appears to have no real flaws. His name is a Japanese pun meaning "over talented." Nobita often asks Doraemon for gadgets to copy Dekisugi's homework.
