The Banana Leaf Fan

Suneo boasts about the cool breeze in his living room, but uses it as an excuse to ostracize Nobita, resulting in Shizuka leaving in dissatisfaction. Doraemon takes out the "Banana Leaf Fan", which can control the wind through a knob and voice control system.

Nobita borrows the fan and performs several good deeds:

* He teases Suneo with a hot, humid breeze, but Gian is scared away by the heat, and Suneo thanks Nobita for relieving his trouble. * He brings a cool breeze to Shizuka's room. * A child (some believe he is a classmate who bullies the cat) gets his remote-controlled airplane stuck in a tree, and Nobita uses the fan to blow it down and retrieve it. * He creates a strong upward wind in an open area and plays a game of riding the wind with Shizuka.

Meanwhile, Doraemon imagines possible scenarios where Nobita might misuse the gadget (such as blowing up his skirt or breaking the bathroom wall) and goes to an empty lot to retrieve the fan from Nobita. Back home, Nobita still denies misusing the fan, but Doraemon, holding the fan, trips and falls in the entryway. As a result, a strong wind blows into the house, affecting Nobita's mother, and even his father, returning from get off work, has to temporarily shelter outside with the family. Nobita looks disdainfully at the utterly humiliated Doraemon.
