The Happy Promenade

Nobita received a "5" on his exam and was scolded by his teacher, which put him in a bad mood. He wanted to go find Shizuka to play and cheer himself up, but when he found her, she was sad because her mother had scolded her for only getting 85 points. This made Nobita feel even worse.

When Nobita returned home, he encountered a listless encyclopedia salesman who was trying to sell him an encyclopedia, claiming it could help improve his grades. However, when Nobita brought up his poor grades, he felt even worse, and the salesman became even more dejected, saying that nobody wanted to buy his books and that life felt very dull.

Feeling affected by everything, Nobita went back to his room. Observing his gloom, Doraemon took out the Happy Walking Road and gave it to him. After Nobita walked along it, his mood improved, and he decided to let Shizuka give it a try. Unexpectedly, Shizuka became upset and cried when she walked past the path because Nobita had accidentally placed it on the opposite direction. After Nobita rearranged the Walking Road correctly, Shizuka walked on it again and felt much better.

Later, they saw the salesman again while he was approaching a house to sell books. Both Nobita and Shizuka felt he wouldn't be able to sell anything, so they encouraged him to walk past them to improve his mood. After experiencing the Happy Walking Road, he finally succeeded in selling the books.

At that moment, Nobita’s mother discovered his test paper and angrily came inside to scold him. To alleviate the situation, Nobita set up the walking path to allow his mother to walk through first. This lifted her spirits, and she reassured Nobita that it was okay to get a zero.

However, the trio didn’t notice that when they walked outside the room, they had entered the Walking Road in the opposite direction. As a result, they all ended up feeling upset again. Nobita's mother felt sad about his 5 score, and Nobita was disheartened as well. Doraemon blamed himself for making Nobita walk in the wrong direction as the episode came to an end.
