Synopsis
Fandom WikiNobita and his friends are playing the Monopoly Railway game at Suneo's house. Nobita loses to Gian and Suneo and is forced to work as their henchmen for a week. Suddenly, a driver's hat falls on Nobita's head, and a train that looks like the one uses in the train game appears next to him! Not only that, Gian and Suneo's appearances change to look like that too, and they start running away instead of obeying his commands! Later, Shizuka, Dekisugi, Yasuo, and Haruo also change into that outfits, and everyone gathers in Nobita's room... It turns out that Doraemon has obtained the "Sugoroku Limited Express Around Japan", a game that is popular in the future, allowing them to experience a trip while playing Monopoly, which is why he gathers everyone together. Doraemon blows a whistle, and everyone is sucked into the Monopoly game. The game begins at Tokyo Tower. First, Shizuka and Dekisugi's team head to Nikko Toshogu Shrine in Tochigi Prefecture. Afterwards, Gian, Suneo, and the others also set off. Nobita goes to TV Asahi, Gian and Suneo go to Niigata, and Yasuo and Haruo fly to Hokkaido (because they change their mode of transportation by rolling dice). However, Gian and Suneo only get a wooden basin from the dice. Dekisugi and Shizuka go to Miyagi to see the swans and happen to see Nobita and Doraemon. After going to Hokkaido, Yasuo and Haruo go to Okinawa, where Nobita and his friends also go and eat crabs. However, Yasuo and Haruo encounter a plague and are attacked. Gian and Suneo progress rapidly and finally reach Hokkaido using the wooden basin. Nobita and Doraemon go to Toyama, where Shizuka and Dekisugi go to Hyogo. Gian and Suneo go to the Kiso River but fail. Shizuka and Dekisugi finally reach the sand dunes in Tottori, only to have Gian suddenly appears in Dekisugi's car, much to the amusement of Suneo and Shizuka. (Gian has obtained a card for switching seat in Gifu.) In the end, Shizuka is switched to Nobita's car, while Gian goes to Okayama with Dekisugi, managing to get some horseshoe crab along the way. Nobita and Shizuka travel through several places, but Nobita decides that going to the amusement park will be better than Shizuka's desire for hot springs. However, Shizuka is eventually switched to Suneo's car. Nobita finally goes to Okinawa with Doraemon, and the others eventually arrive there as well. Gian finally returns to the starting point, just as Nobita returns. Gian and Suneo think they have won, but to their surprise, the robot tells Nobita that it will take 64 weeks to determine the winner. It turns out that at the beginning of the Monopoly game, when the robot asks Nobita to roll the dice, Nobita is too eager to ask questions and doesn't check or understand what is going on. He then discovers that the dice Nobita rolled before the Monopoly game started are to set the number of rounds. The first die showed a 6 and the second die showed a 5. Therefore, their Monopoly game will take 65 weeks to determine the winner.
