Synopsis
Fandom WikiIt's another beautiful day and Tamako calls out to Nobisuke, who's playing golf, for tea. As Nobisuke drinks his tea, he asks Tamako where Nobita is and she tells him he's in his room with Doraemon. Nobisuke decides to head to Nobita's room to check what he's doing. Meanwhile Nobita is trying to paint a portrait of Doraemon, who is fast asleep, for his art homework. Getting annoyed that his art isn't as good as he expected, he attempts to paint Doraemon's face for fun, when Nobisuke arrives and asks what he's doing. Nobita explains that he's trying to paint a portrait of Doraemon for his homework. Feeling that Nobita didn't pour his entire enthusiasm in his art, Nobisuke gives him a short pep talk about the fact that he had once won an art contest when he was around the same age, but then sadly remembered that all the rewards and photos were destroyed during the war.
Motivated by his dad's words, Nobita decides to go and paint a portrait of Shizuka, while blaming Doraemon for being "neither cute nor beautiful". He paints Doraemon's face as a prank and then leaves for Shizuka's house. While at Shizuka's house, she soon becomes annoyed by Nobita's fastidious direction on art and quits. Meanwhile, Doraemon wakes up and goes to the living room. As he greets Tamako and Nobisuke, they scream in horror before Nobisuke realizes that it was just Doraemon and they both start laughing at him. Doraemon is clueless as to why they're laughing and goes to the mirror only to find that his face has been painted. Realizing that Nobita pranked him, he angrily goes to Nobita, who left Shizuka's house, and confronts him using a new gadget: the Afterward Album. Writing the timing and then waiting for 3 mins, the album is able to provide a photo of what happened during that time, and Doraemon uses it to provide concrete evidence of Nobita being the culprit. Realizing the gadget's potential, Nobita decides to use the photo provided by the gadget for the sake of his art homework. At first, he produces several photos of himself, but is unsatisfied and heads to the Open Lot with Doraemon following him. While at the Open Lot, Nobita explains to Doraemon that he wants to use Shizuka as his model and produce some pictures of her. Doraemon agrees, and so Nobita decides to write on the album such that it produces several bathing photos of Shizuka. Doraemon tries to advise against this, but even he starts to enjoy the photos. As Nobita and Doraemon are naughtily looking at the bathing photos, Shizuka arrives and calls out to Nobita, causing him and Doraemon to hide the album and photos behind their backs. Shizuka apologizes for behaving rudely before and asks them what they're hiding, while they quickly deny that they're hiding anything. However, a bathing photo slips out of the album and ends up on the ground in front of Shizuka, who picks it up and looks at it. Infuriated, Shizuka beats up Nobita and Doraemon, takes all the photos and leaves.
As they head back home, Doraemon decides to not let Nobita use the gadget any longer, but Nobita begs Doraemon to let him use the gadget one last time for good. After asking Nobisuke about the date he received the award, Nobita uses the provided information to create a photo of the event and hides it inside the family album, allowing Nobisuke to find it and proudly show it to the entire family. Later that night, Nobita continues to draw Doraemon as his portrait. After scraping many attempts, Nobita quickly blames Doraemon for his poor drawing skills and chases after him to paint his face again.
