Doraemon sees a stray cat that looks just like him and brings it home. Since they can't keep it secret from their mother, the two decide to find an owner. Nobita names the cat Dorajirou, who looks like Doraemon, and heads to Shizuka's house.

Shizuka refuses to let them keep the cat because she keeps a canary, and Suneo boasts about a cat with a pedigree. As the two are walking, they come across Gian. They ask Gian, thinking it will work, and he says he will keep it.

However, Gian's mother is against it, as Doraemon has just stolen some bonito flakes from the shop. She says she doesn't even want to see a cat...

The two continue to search for an owner, refusing to give up. At that moment, they pass by a ramen shop with many beckoning cats lined up in the display case. When he goes inside, he finds that there are no customers inside and is told that it is outrageous to keep a cat.

So Doraemon gives Dorajiro some "Kamkam Cat Food," which is said to attract people when fed to cats, but...!?
