Goodbye, Gian

Nobita, who went to Gian's shop on an errand, hears Gian's mother telling customers that the shop is closing. Inside the shop, Jaiko is putting away the products, and Nobita sees her mother getting angry that Gian left without packing, so he is convinced that Gian is moving out. He hurriedly reports this to everyone.

After hearing the story from Nobita, everyone is overjoyed that they will no longer have to be beaten or listen to Gian's singing. Suneo doesn't believe it, but Shizuka is sad because if it were true, she would be lonely. Shizuka suggests that everyone send Gian off in a good mood. After hearing the story, Doraemon takes out the "Hospitality Landlady". It was originally an educational robot for inn and hotel staff, and it teaches them how to provide excellent customer service, "Omotenashi".

As a test, he sets it up so that Shizuka would be entertained, and the hostess enters Nobita's clothes and pops her head out from the collar. Then she secretly instructs Nobita to give Shizuka a handkerchief.

Not long after, Gian arrives. They ask the robot to provide the best service, or Omotenashi, for Gian. The first thing to do is get Tengudamu volume number 13 for Gian. Next, the robot asks Shizuka to make sweet potatoes. Then Nobita asks Doraemon to take out an Anywhere Door to go to a cool beach with a beautiful view. Meanwhile, Suneo is near Gian's shop and sees his mother taking down the shop sign, believing that Gian is really moving away.

Gian wonders why all his friends are being nice to him. When Nobita asks Gian if he is feeling anxious, Gian answers "of course I am". This makes Nobita and the others feel sad, but the robot asks them to laugh instead of being sad.

Gian tells a saddened Doraemon that he is going to a relative's wedding while his shop is being repaired. Doraemon feels relieved to hear that, but Gian asks him to not tell everyone for now so that he gets the best service by his friends like a king. Each of his friends has their own tasks. Doraemon and Nobita massage Gian's body. Yasuo and Haruo fan him using leaves, and Shizuka makes lots of handmade baked cookies for him.

Gian feels very satisfied with all the services provided by his friends. When returning to the field, there was a magnificent concert stage at there. Suneo shows himself and admits that he and his friends have created a special farewell stage concert for him. Then they all ask Gian to hold a recital for the last time. They keep shouting while crying, believing Gian is moving away.

Gian is embarrassed to admit that they all misunderstood about him supposedly moving away. In the end, Gian tells the truth about the move to all his friends. Gian is willing to be beaten by his friends if they are disappointed in him, but all his friends were happy because he didn't move. This episode ends with Gian singing for all his friends with a happy feeling in his heart.
