Doraemon Turns Into a Cicada

Episode starts at the Open Lot when Dekisugi have finished making the swallowtail butterfly observation for this summer vacation independent study. Everyone who saw his observation diary was impressed by how well-crafted it was. Unfortunately, Nobita accidentally lied and say that he also observed an insects to his friends.

Doraemon was astonished to hear the story. Nobita keep beggin to Doraemon for do something good. Then Doraemon take out a new secret gadgets from his pocket called "Insect Tie" Wearing this necktie allows you to transform into an insect and learn about their ecology. Nobita wearing a swallowtail butterfly necktie around his neck. After that , Nobita's body begins to glow and then he transforming into a swallowtail butterfly egg. As Nobita emerges from the egg, Doraemon explains that one day passes when he pulls the tie once. After Doraemon pulls on the tie four times, the egg breaks open and Nobita emerges as a larva.

Doraemon continues to pull on the tie until he transforming from a larva into a chrysalis. In the end, Nobita transform again from a chrysalis into an adult butterfly and he flying around the room in great joy. Nobita returns to his original form when the period time ends. This is a great gadgets for his summer insect observation assignment, Then Nobita asking Doraemon to become an insect so he can finished his assignment.

Doraemon pick up an cicada's nectie and started to transform himself from an egg. He said It took several years to hatch. Nobita didn't have that much time, so he kept pulling his tie roughly. After hatching, Doraemon walked out of the house, He started digging the ground near the yard to bury himself. According to the insect encyclopedia that Nobita read, it takes several years for cicadas to be in the ground. Then Nobita come to the sard and continously pull the tie again until he pass that process.

At night, Nobita start to observation Doraemon who has turned into a insect. Then his skin starts to peels off and changes color to green like a cicada. At dinner time comes, Doraemon is not interested in anything to eat, even his favorite Dorayaki.

At the next day, Nobita continue to observed Doraemon. He saw Doraemon was sucking tree sap and always make a loud sound like the sound of real insects. Not long after, a crow approached Doraemon and chasing him. Nobita tries to chase him but he loses track. Then Nobita meet with Dekisugi and Shizuka-chan. Dekisugi said that the crow was his prey. So the three of them went looking for Doraemon and finally they managed to find him. Nobita is really happy to see him again.

At home, Nobita decided to end his Insect observation by removing the necktie. But the necktie was hard to take off and he accidentally pulled it off once. He become panicked because he knew that the lifespan of an adult cicada was only one week after Nobita has observed him for 5 days.

When Nobita went to Dekisugi's house, he convinced him that there was a study about the lifespan of cicada that could survive for one month. Hearing the news, Nobita was happy to see Doraemon awake.

Finally Nobta sucessed to remove the tie and Doraemon was back to Normal. This episode end when Doraemon read his weird things about his insect observation report while he turns into an insect. Doraemon was shocked when he read the report it says "He prefers tree sap than Dorayaki"
