Synopsis
Fandom WikiLet's Go to a Hot Spring with Shizuka-chan
Nobita, Suneo, Gian, and the others are excitedly discussing the hot springs when Shizuka can't go because her father has to work. Nobita notices Shizuka's disappointment, and Doraemon, feeling the same way, takes out his "Hot Spring Detecting Shovels" to help Nobita dig a hot spring nearby. The shovel detects a hot spring in an empty lot, and Nobita and Doraemon happily dig. Later, Gian and the others see them and ask what they are doing. At first, no one believes that a hot spring can be found in an empty lot, but Gian eventually volunteers to help (on the condition that everyone will soak in the hot spring together after they find it). With everyone's help and Suneo's confirmation of the spring, the open-air "hot spring" is completed. Nobita excitedly invites Shizuka to come, but Shizuka blushes and politely declines, leaving everyone puzzles. Just as Gian is about to go into the hot spring, the police arrives with a warning, and then Nobita and Doraemon realize: Shizuka doesn't want to soak in the hot spring in front of everyone! Nobita and Doraemon then decide to dig in the mountain. Doraemon uses his "Super Gloves" to speed things up, and after they finish, Nobita uses the "Anywhere Door" to invite Shizuka. The beautiful scenery of the "Mountain Hot Spring" moves Shizuka, and she decides to soak there. To prevent others from passing by, Nobita and Doraemon stand guard along the path. Unexpectedly, they both fall asleep, allowing two people who want to paint the scenery to wander into the "Mountain Hot Spring Area." Shizuka initially hides in the water, but can't resist and comes out screaming and runs home. Nobita and Doraemon wake up to the scream and overhear the two painters discussing "Why a little girl is soaking in a hot spring in the mountain," realizing the seriousness of the situation. They rush to the scene, but Shizuka is already gone. Then, Nobita looks at the four-compartment brush-washing bucket and suddenly remembers something. That night, Nobita goes to Shizuka's room to invite her over. Shizuka is initially angry (she've had enough), but eventually goes to Nobita's house through the "Anywhere Door". After passing through the "Gulliver Tunnel", Shizuka sees various different hot spring rooms! After seeing the brush-washing bucket, Nobita comes up with the idea of creating different "Creative Hot Springs" using various containers, combining them into "Nobita's Hot Spring Paradise": besides Doraemon using the "Anywhere Door" to travel to various parts of Japan to collect real hot springs, there will also be jelly hot spring, milk bath, Japanese tea hot spring, black tea hot spring, and other novel hot spring. Shizuka finally chooses a hot spring, and Doraemon uses the "3D Projector" to make the hot spring room Shizuka chooses more of a local atmosphere. Seeing Shizuka's satisfaction, Nobita and Doraemon are also happy, and each chooses a hot spring to soak in. Unexpectedly, because the solution gradually cools and solidifies, Nobita is trapped in the jelly hot spring! Doraemon tries to slap Nobita out of the jelly, but he slaps too hard, and Nobita flies into Shizuka's hot spring room! Shizuka, seeing Nobita flying in from the sky, yells, "Nobita, you're such a pervert!" In the end, Shizuka still can't enjoy soaking in the hot spring.
But Doraemon Wants a Mom
Doraemon and Nobita are initially excited about their mother's upcoming trip, but to their surprise, she repeatedly reminds Nobita to do his homework, even turning back to open the door as a warning after leaving. Nobita finds his mother annoying and nagging, but he quickly recovers and starts reading comics, eating cookies, and watching TV. Doraemon, finding his reminder ineffective, decided he needs a nagging mother to keep an eye on Nobita, and takes out the "Mom Robot." After explaining its function and pressing the button, Nobita suddenly pretends to need to use the restroom, turns the egg face down towards Doraemon, and runs away, leaving a bewildered and flustered Doraemon behind. Soon, the egg hatches, and Owl Nanny is born. Of course, the first "son" she sees is "Doraemon." This "mother" is quite clingy, chasing after her son from the moment he is born. Doraemon explains things to her while taking her to meet her "real son, Nobita." Surprisingly, she is more interested in Doraemon's messy cabinets. "So little Doraemon likes Ito Tsubasa!" While "mother" is cleaning her "son's" cabinets, Nobita, having has his fill of the fun, decides to go out and play, leaving the newly formed mother-son duo behind. Doraemon feels embarrassed and decides to clean the cabinets himself, while "mother" knits a scarf nearby. After cleaning the cabinets, Doraemon decides to go out and find Nobita. His "mother," thinking it is cold, wraps him up in a scarf, making him look like Dora-nicow. Doraemon gets angry and throws the scarf on the floor! At that moment, his "mother" cries, "I stay up all night knitting this!" Doraemon retorts, "You are only just born!" Suddenly, Mii-chan comes to visit. As a mother, how can she not get to know her future daughter-in-law? Besides greeting and chatting, while Doraemon and Mii-chan are playing, "mother" even comes in under the pretext of bringing snack. Doraemon is naturally unhappy and is warned by Mii-chan, "You can't be so mean to Mommy." Finally, due to Doraemon's slip of the tongue, "Mom" eats his treasured dorayaki. "You think saying 'sorry' will make things alright? You've been doing unnecessary things from the beginning! Stop right there!" "Mom," embarrassed by her "son's" outburst, storms off, "hating people who are so mean to their mother." In a fit of anger, Doraemon goes out to buy dorayaki. The weather is still cold, and "Mom" chases after him, just to put a scarf around Doraemon's neck. Still furious, Doraemon snatches the scarf away, throws it on the yard floor, and walks away without looking back. This time, "Mom" doesn't cry. She just looks sadly at the scarf on the ground, seemingly loses in thought... The sun set, and the dorayaki is sold out. In despair, a mother and son come out of the shop. It is cold, and the mother wraps the scarf around her son's neck. The child, now warm, has a happy expression on his face. This heartwarming scene moves Doraemon deeply. "Am I a little too harsh?" That evening, on the bridge, Doraemon sits alone, reflecting on his behavior towards his mother during the day. When he returns home, he is greeted by a chaotic closet! Doraemon is astonished when his mother, looking disheveled, approached, carrying three pieces of "dorayaki" that looks terrible but are still recognizable in shape. His mother isn't a good cook; she has tried to learn to make Doraemon happy, so naturally, it doesn't taste good. But Doraemon endures it, exclaiming, "It's delicious!" It is so delicious that even Nobita, who has returned home, thinks it is delicious! (Nobita finds it unbelievable that Doraemon can eat it.) While taking a bath, Doraemon asks Nobita if he likes his mother. Although Nobita finds his mother annoying, nagging, and long-winded, he "still likes her very much." Suddenly, the (robot) mother announces a message: Eight hours. Once the eight hours are up and the mission is complete, she will turn back into an egg. "Nobita, from now on, taking care of Doraemon is your responsibility; Doraemon, it's cold, please take care of yourself." Words can no longer express her feelings at that moment; all she can do is hug her son and cry. A flash of golden light, and the robot returns to normal. Under the moonlight, only an egg remains, along with the only keepsake her mother has left behind: a scarf. Hugging the scarf, Doraemon suddenly feels sad. Nobita decides to suggest they share the dinner prepared by "Mom." Unexpectedly, the dinner is truly awful, causing Doraemon and Nobita to completely surrender!
