The Day When I Was Born

The episode begins with Tamako talking to Nobita about how he needs to study hard. As soon as she finishes, Nobita returns to his room with a sad expression. Tamako, looking at him, realizes that she has told him too much and decides to console him. Upstairs, Nobita tells Doraemon that he is tired of his mother always forcing him to study. Overhearing Nobita, Tamako, who is holding a bowl of ice cream for him, believes him that he is actually going to study. Nobita immediately eats the ice cream and decides to run away for a walk. Angry at being deceived, Tamako shouts Nobita's name so loudly that he loses his balance and falls down the stairs. Later, Tamako and Nobisuke scold him very harshly for not wanting to study. When they finish arguing with him, Nobita returns to Doraemon in tears and thinks that he is not their real family and that he was abandoned. Doraemon does not believe this and decides to take him in a time machine 10 years back in time, to the day Nobita was born. When Doraemon and Nobita fly back in time 10 years, they see that Nobita's room used to belong to Nobisuke. He asks Doraemon that his parents are nowhere to be found. Doraemon says that Nobita may really be, to which he cries, and Doraemon consoles him, explaining that he was joking. Suddenly, Nobisuke runs home and starts looking for Tamako in a panic until Doraemon reminds him that she is in the hospital. Nobisuke is confused when he sees Doraemon and Nobita, but runs to the hospital. When he runs, he sees Tamako lying in bed with a baby to his right. Looking at the newborn, Nobita is surprised that he has wrinkles like a monkey, which makes Nobisuke angry and sends Nobita and Doraemon away. Later, Tamako and Nobisuke start discussing what to name their son and decide to call him Nobita and think that he can become a great person in the future. Nobita enters the room and explains to Nobisuke that they shouldn't expect much from their baby, which makes Nobisuke angry again and sends him and Doraemon away. While walking down the street in the evening, Nobita realizes that he is actually their son and when he returns to the present, he begins to diligently study despite his parents' requests to rest for a while.
