The Mystery of Yamaoku Village

To celebrate Nobita's parents' wedding anniversary, Nobita and Dorami take them to a deserted village deep in the mountains (to escape the hustle and bustle of the city). Nearby, a long-missing explorer named Kanehara appears. He struggles into the village and eats Nobita's food, which gives him the strength to run out and call for help. He's buried by falling snow. Nobita and his family, mistaking it for an animal's cry (and perhaps the animal's food), pay no attention. Seeing the snow pile (where the explorer is buried), Nobita and his family build a snowman. Returning that evening, still eager to see the snowman, they transport it back home. The explorer emerges from the snowman and is rescued. He's discovered by Gian and Suneo, who believe Kanehara is performing a performance art piece. That evening, Nobita is surprised by the snowman's rapid collapse. A television broadcast reports that the missing explorer has reappeared in downtown Tokyo. Everyone is stunned and baffled by the scene, unable to understand what's going on.
