Synopsis
Fandom WikiSuneo brags to Nobita, Shizuka, and Gian about his skiing trip to Yuhidake. Nobita initially tells himself, "Don't worry about it." However, the next day, Suneo deliberately calls Nobita, telling him how much fun he's having at the ski resort and that he's about to go ski mountaineering. Wanting to go to Yuhidake, Nobita asks Doraemon to bring out the "Anywhere Door," but it's under repair. Unable to resist Nobita's request, Doraemon uses the "Space Replacement Machine" instead. Doraemon demonstrates how to draw a circle with chalk. Once the "Space Replacement Machine" is set, the area within the chalk becomes the designated area, and the area originally within the chalk is swapped to the designated area. For example, if he draws a circle around Nobita and specifies the tree in the courtyard as the swap location, Nobita's position will swap with the tree's, and of course, Nobita will be swapped to the courtyard. Using it to move a slope on Yuhidake to Nobita's room, he can practice skiing. Doraemon urges Nobita to practice diligently and not give up, and then he leaves. However, the space in Nobita's room is limited, and he can't ski for long before bumping into things. Later, when his mother calls him to run an errand, Nobita uses the gadget for another purpose: he uses it to invite Shizuka to see the world. When Doraemon returns home, Nobita and Shizuka are already playing in the Hawaiian ocean! Nobita complains that his room is too small for proper skiing practice. In the middle of the night, Doraemon suddenly wakes Nobita and takes him to the park. When Doraemon takes out the chalk, Nobita understood what is going on: they are going to swap the park with Yuhidake. After painstakingly marking the boundary, they finally swap with Yuhidake, and the scenery of the snowy mountain appears in the city. Nobita, of course, wants to play first, but Doraemon "reminds" him to practice skiing. Even when Nobita wants to give up halfway through practice, Doraemon is still unhappy. Suneo's family gets lost on the mountain ski trail and can't find their way home until midnight. As everyone is blaming each other, they suddenly see headlights. The family happily runs away from the ski area and hails a taxi on the street. Unexpectedly, the driver knows they are going to Yuhidake in Hokkaido, and is surprised at first, then say that the fare is very expensive! It turns out that Doraemon's switch has brought Suneo's family with them. In other words, Suneo's family, having been replaced by the gadget, now sees the streets of their familiar neighborhood. But Suneo and his family are completely unaware of this. Nobita, unable to master the skills after repeat practice, cries and says he doesn't want to practice anymore. Doraemon reluctantly switches the park back. Meanwhile, Suneo's family, unaware of this, is in a taxi, leaving their neighborhood park and heading over 700 kilometers to Hokkaido!
