They both agree that the food is delicious. Nobita asks Dekisugi why boy should learn to cook. Dekisugi explains that in the future, both men and women will work, so man should learn housework. Shizuka responds, "It will be wonderful to be Dekisugi's wife," which shocks Nobita. Back home, Doraemon tells him that the future can be changed. He asks him to practice daily chores with the "Home-Ec Apron", hoping to change his fate. Nobita cleans the dishes and sweeps the floor, but Doraemon, realizing it's just an ordinary apron and mistaken for her brother, immediately gives Nobita the real one. After cleaning the house, Nobita cleans Suneo's and Gian's homes, then challenges Dekisugi to a fried rice challenge. Doraemon tells Dorami that she usea a regular apron because she wanta Nobita to be more aggressive. However, the apron can't handle the weight, and the fried rice burns. Shizuka thanks Nobita, saying that his effort is a good thing. Doraemon happens to catch the sequel on Time TV and learns that Dekisugi and his wife have gone to Mars for work, leaving their son, Hideyo, in Shizuka's care. Nobita's mother returns and notices how well he's doing around the house. She praises him and offers him pocket money. Still unaware of the truth, Nobita demands he do chores every day. Doraemon thinks that it will be better not to tell him for the time being.
